I'm a "ol young head." Wha?!? What's that? It's somebody you swear should be alive in another time. Example if I could exist in any decade it would have to be the 70's. Why? Becuase everybody's swag was crazy! There were so many different things going on at one time in one culture. Music was diverse, culture was diverse, people wern't affraid to step outside of their box. (Strictly speaking of fashion.) But no... There was an inate sensibility when it came to music that was dope during that decade. Go figure? Something in the water?

But with that... I present to you. Steely Dan's 1977 soft -rock opus, AJA. There is not a bad track on this album! From top to bottom, sonically this is a AM radio masterpeice! (AM radio being then not what is today.) Starting with Black Cow. A jazz and soul-infused peice about a relationship gone wrong. Secondly with the oriental-inspired seven minute rock out,  AJA. The most notable and musical track on the album being Deacon Blues, which is as lyricaly haunting as it is musically perplexing. This something else! A peice of music that has influenced the parents of mc's and producers and maybe the producers and mc's themselves.  It sure influenced me!  It shows why the ol'heads just can't let back in the day go... But that's just my two cent's....
